General info. about types of switches:
Black switches: With black switches you get a non-tactile switch, i.e. no clicky feedback when pressed. Since you typically bottom out keys when gaming, clicky feedback can be seen as unnecessary to many and these types of switches are therefore primarily suitable for gaming. It is a silent switch and therefore suitable for shared rooms or if you are sensitive to noise.
Red switches: A "light" version of the black switch with lower "actuation force" (45g against the black's 60g). It therefore feels easier and more light to bottom out. It is a silent switch and therefore suitable for shared rooms or if you are sensitive to noise.
Blue switches: Switch with high tactile and clicky feedback. Here you get a loud and satisfying clicky feeling with every single key press. Despite the fact that blue switches are primarily suitable for writing, it can easily be adapted to gaming. It is the noisiest switch and therefore not suitable for shared rooms or if you are sensitive to noise.
Brown switches: The best of both worlds, a red and blue switch in one. Here you get the nice, tactile feedback from blue switches, but with a quieter sound level from the red switch.
