Installation tips: We recommend that you purchase a non-return valve (see accessories) and install it. The non-return valve is important on this type of fan with humidity sensor. Without a non-return valve fitted, you run the risk that even a minimal negative pressure in your home will cause dry air to be drawn in through the fan's exhaust duct. When it is the dry air from outside that passes the humidity sensor, it will naturally not be able to detect that there is high humidity in the room. The fan then does not start!
The non-return valve also offers other advantages. You avoid cold drafts from the exhaust duct in winter, and the non-return valve is also designed in such a way that it prevents the fan's hose mounting pipe from deforming and coming into contact with the fan's propeller, which can both make noise and damage the fan engine. |
