Rotating chimney cowl 200 steel spherical chimney cowl is used for ventilation chimney flues. Spherical rotary base and pipe in diameter Ø200mm. Support the chimney draft by creating a vacuum in the ventilation duct and prevent back draft. The second purpose of using the attachments is to protect the chimney ventilation duct against precipitation. The rotor cap can be removed for easy sweeping of the chimney - just turn to the side with a bracket.
The included square mounting flange makes it easy to mount the chimney cap on a masonry chimney. The rotor cap can be removed for easy sweeping of the chimney - Simply loosen the two thumbscrews and turn to the side. then the rotor cap can be removed.
If you want to mount this chimney cap on a tubular steel chimney, then this is also possible. Put the chimney cap (without flange) on your chimney pipe and mark with a marker where you have to drill holes for mounting parts. After drilling the holes, simply transfer mounting handles, bolts and nuts from the flange to the steel pipe.
Note: As the ball bearing in this chimney cowl can be damaged by overheating, it is important that it is only mounted on the chimneys where the temperature of the flue is max. 120°C and preferably not above 90°C for a long time. Modern stoves with a high degree of efficiency can easily keep the smoke draft below 65°C, but we do not recommend the purchase and installation of this chimney hood if you have an open fireplace or an older and more inefficient wood stove with high heat loss to the flue. If in doubt, measure the smoke temperature from your chimney.
